Ruaha

South of Tanzania's center, Ruaha National Park stretches out. The mighty Ruaha River, the park's namesake, flanks its southeastern border. This life-giving waterway is a magnet for safari adventures. During the dry season, the shrinking river becomes a focal point for wildlife seeking water, transforming the area into a prime game viewing location. Large herds of elephant, giraffe, buffalo, kudu, and impala can be frequently spotted around the riverbeds. In fact, seeing the abundant Great Kudu is practically guaranteed. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, and wild dogs round out the park's predator population. What truly sets Ruaha apart is the chance to explore its beauty on foot through guided walking safaris.
