Day 1
Arusha
Arrive at JRO (Kilimanjaro International Airport) in Arusha at the foot of Mount Meru. Our guide will meet you at your arrival and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha.

Day 2
Moshi
After breakfast we make our way towards the town of Moshi, an ideal stopping point as we make our way east. Once here, you can enjoy options for a waterfall hike, walking through rural villages, swimming in hot springs, visiting a local coffee plantation, or relaxing by the pool or participating in a home-made cooking lesson.

Day 3 - 4
Mkomazi National Park
After breakfast in Moshi, we proceed towards Mkomazi National Park for 2 nights of wilderness immersion. Bush walks with an armed ranger and spotting rhinos in the new Mbula Rhino Sanctuary are some highlights as well as trying to spot the elusive gerenuk and lesser kudu.
Mkomazi is also a birders paradise and home to 5 endemic birds including the Violet Wood-Hoopoe, Friedmann’s Lark, the Somali Long-billed Crombec and the Yellow-vented Eremomela. With some luck, one can see the Big Five too!

Day 5 - 6
Usambara Mountains
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, we make the journey to the Northern Usambara Escarpment, an area with rich biodiversity, great hiking, and breathtaking views to the surrounding mountains and plains below.
Our lodge for the next couple of nights is famed for its spectacular position to take in the full wonder of the mountains and countryside. You will arrive in time a for a cultural walk, including a visit to a traditional pottery or one of the colourful markets in the area. Afterwards enjoy the sunset over the plains and mountains.
The next day will be spent exploring Shagayu rain forest with its stunning waterfall deep in the forest and rich birdlife including colourful turacos, weavers, and sunbirds. With the help of your guide, the Angola colobus and blue monkey along with several species of chameleons can be seen.

Day 7 - 8
Pangani
After breakfast, we leave for Ushongo, just south of Pangani, a special off the beaten track beach destination. Activities that are available include visiting a turtle conservation project, kayaking, scuba diving, and a trip to fabulous Maziwe island, a vital and thriving coral reef and marine conservation area with superb snorkelling.

Day 9 - 11
Zanzibar
Take a morning boat transfer to Zanzibar Island. You will have three nights to enjoy this island paradise near the fisherman's village of Jambiani.
Activities on offer range from traditional dhow sailing trips, snorkelling, kite surfing, dolphin watching, and spice tours. We work with Marine Cultures, an institute that guides us towards eco-sustainable activities.
There is the option to spend one night in the World Heritage site of Stone town. We will arrange a full day tour of Stone Town where you can marvel at the mix of culture, atmospheric streets, and ancient architecture & history.

Day 12
Departure
We will arrange a transfer to Zanzibar international airport to catch a direct flight home or a flight back to Kilimanjaro in order to catch your flight from there.
